Sammie Jo Palpallatoc
Sammie Jo Palpallatoc battled her way through the field to win our third tournament benefitting local disabled veterans. She made it to the final table with a slight chip advantage and continued to increase her lead throughout the rest of the tournament. In the final hand facing R C Klein who was short stacked pushed all-in in the big blind with an open ended straight flush draw. Sammie Jo with her dominant stack called. When the river came a ten of diamonds, her 6-9 suited proved to be the best hand, giving her the victory. Her prize package included a sponsored seat to a tournament at the Pensacola Greyhound Track card room as well as two rounds of golf, including cart at Shalimar Pointe Country Club plus other prizes.
